All UNOKLIMA XT-U models are easy to install and very easy to maintain. A hole in the external wall and two wires, and you are almost done.

UNOKLIMA XT-U 160 models are recommended for all types of living spaces, including bedrooms, wherever it is possible to install a 160 mm model.

UNOKLIMA XT-U REMOTE 160 provides effective, continuous ventilation with heat recovery.

Effective ventilation with minimal heat loss and the windows closed—even while you are asleep or away from home. Open windows and conventional extraction result in substantial heat loss and increase the demand on the building’s heating system.

UNOKLIMA continuous ventilation with heat recovery minimises heat loss. This enables significant energy savings by preventing the heating system from having to operate at maximum output, as it would when ventilating by opening windows.

Ideal applications include private homes, holiday homes, offices, classrooms, site cabins, workshops and much more. Can be installed in external walls with a thickness of 250–500 mm. A 700 mm air duct is available as an optional extra. The XT-U series is not suitable for use in wet rooms.

The unit operates in a continuous cycle of 70 seconds of extraction followed by 70 seconds of air supply. During extraction, heat is absorbed from the stale air. During air supply, this heat is transferred to the incoming fresh air.

UNOKLIMA XT-U 160 has a heat exchanger that is 50% larger than those in other UNOKLIMA models. This larger heat exchanger provides greater heat storage capacity. Under typical indoor and outdoor temperature conditions, average heat recovery of up to 77–80% is achieved when operating at speed 2.

The units have been tested in accordance with European standard EN1254:2014, which is used for comparison with other products. This EN test shows a maximum heat recovery efficiency of 93%, which is used for product comparisons.

The XT-U 160 model has the capacity to ventilate rooms of up to 40 m² when operating at the highest speed. Continuous operation at lower speeds produces less noise but also reduces ventilation capacity. Multiple units should be installed in larger rooms. When installing multiple units in the same room, there must be a minimum distance of 3 metres between them.

The XT-U 160 REMOTE model is supplied with a remote control with a display for selecting the various functions. The unit is switched on and off via the external power supply. The internal panel opens or closes after 40 seconds, depending on whether the unit is switched on or off. The remote control has a stop/start button that stops or starts the fan without closing the front cover.

Maintenance: The heat exchanger, housing and filters must be maintained after every 3,000 hours of operation or every 3 months. Vacuum the heat exchanger and wash or replace the filters. Wipe the air duct, housing and fan blades with a dry cloth. REMOTE models have an indicator light that turns red when maintenance is due. The indicator light must be reset using the filter button on the remote control.

The motor unit’s position in the middle of the air duct, behind the heat exchanger, gives the XT-U 160 model a measured noise level as low as 4 dB(A) at a distance of 3 metres from the unit.

The XT-U 160 REMOTE model offers several additional options:

A wall-mounted control panel with a display, model PR Visual, item no. 31036.20, is available as an optional extra. Connected by cable.

Up to 16 units of the same model can be linked. In a linked installation, all units are controlled by the first connected unit. The units are connected by cable.
